Ensure that the vehicle is in good condition and document its condition during check-out when returning the host's vehicle. Once you complete check-out, your reservation will be successfully completed.
Inspect the Vehicle
You must refuel or charge the battery to the same level it was at when you picked up the vehicle. If you fail to do so, your host may issue an invoice for the cost of fuel replacement or battery charging, including any related Supercharger fees, such as idle fees. Idle fees apply when the car has completed charging but remains connected to the charger for more than 30 minutes.
Don’t Forget to Check the Cleanliness
You are not required to clean the vehicle before returning it, but please review Sync’s Cleanliness Policy. If you return the vehicle in a condition that could only result from irresponsible or abusive behavior, your host may report the issue to Sync and charge a €100 violation fee.
Park Smartly
If you park on the street, choose a spot that is legal and safe for the next 24 hours. You are responsible for any parking fines or towing costs incurred within 24 hours after the end of the reservation.
Document the Vehicle’s Condition
Take photos documenting the fuel level, mileage, and the vehicle’s condition inside and out. This is essential to protect yourself in case of pre-existing damages, cleanliness/smoking issues, and to handle any reimbursement claims for incidents after your reservation. Use the Sync app to take and upload photos.
Leave the Keys
Place the keys in a secure location as instructed by your host. If your host has not given you specific instructions, contact them and ask. If you cannot reach them, take a photo of the key location and send a message to your host informing them where to find the keys.
End the Reservation
Once you have returned the vehicle, taken and uploaded photos, and left the keys, your reservation is successfully completed.
