When you take photos of the car at pickup or drop-off, we use that information to protect you in case of damage disputes. But for your photos to be accepted as valid evidence, they must include the exact time and location of when and where they were taken.
That’s why it’s important to ensure your phone allows the Camera app to save metadata like date, time, and GPS location.
How to Enable It (iPhone)
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services Turn Location Services ON Scroll down to Camera, and choose While Using the App Turn Precise Location ON Go to Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings and enable Location Information
How to Enable It (Android)
Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Permissions > Location Choose Allow only while using the app Open the Camera app, tap the ⚙️ Settings icon, find Location Tags or Geo-tagging, and turn it ON
🔎 How to Check Your Photos
Open the Photos app Tap a photo, then swipe up or tap the ℹ️ info icon You should see the location, date, and time listed
🛡️ Without this data, we may not be able to verify when the photos were taken, and that can affect any review in case of disagreement. For your own safety and smooth rentals, please take a moment to check your settings before your trip.
