Sync gives you the option to protect yourself from claims made by the vehicle owner in case of damage during your booking.
The possibility of damage cannot be ruled out, and it is natural for the vehicle owner to seek compensation. When you make your booking, we offer you the option to choose a plan that partially or fully covers your obligation to compensate the owner, relieving you of this responsibility.
The Plans
When making your booking, you will see the available protection plans for the vehicle you are reserving. For each plan, you will see:
- The additional cost to be paid for the booking.
- The maximum amount you may be required to pay as compensation if damage occurs.
- Any additional terms that may apply to the plan.
In all cases, at the start of the vehicle rental, an amount will be held as a security deposit on your credit/debit card. This amount will correspond to the maximum sum you would be required to pay in case of damage, based on the plan you selected. The deposit will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. The release of the held amount may take up to 14 days, depending on your card issuer.
Available Plans
Standard Vehicles:
- No Plan → Maximum compensation: €700 (held on your card, fully refundable)
- Basic Protection → Maximum compensation: €300 (held on your card, fully refundable)
- Ultra Protection → Maximum compensation: €0 (full exemption)
Premium Vehicles (€45,000 - €85,000 value):
- Premium No Plan → Maximum compensation: €2,000 (held on your card, fully refundable)
- Premium Basic → Maximum compensation: €750
- Premium Prime → Maximum compensation: €300
- Premium Ultra → Maximum compensation: €0 (full exemption)
Deluxe Vehicles (Over €85,000 value):
- Deluxe No Plan → Maximum compensation: €2,000 (held on your card, fully refundable)
- Deluxe Basic → Maximum compensation: €750
- Deluxe Prime → Maximum compensation: €300
- Deluxe Ultra → Maximum compensation: €0 (full exemption)
