When booking a car that is parked on the street, you must return it to a legal on-street parking spot where it will not be at risk of receiving a parking ticket or being towed for a period of 24 hours after the scheduled end of the booking.
- Check all posted parking restrictions, towing zones, permit parking areas, and street cleaning hours.
- Check your front and rear bumpers to ensure they do not extend into a driveway, pedestrian crossing, or colored zone.
- Be cautious with time-restricted parking—if there is a time limit, the host may not be able to retrieve the vehicle before a ticket is issued.
You are responsible for paying any fines if the car receives tickets or is towed within the 24-hour window after the scheduled end of your booking.
If you are unable to find a legal parking spot, notify the host and try to arrange drop-off at their location. Contact the host via Sync messages stating that parking is unavailable, and then park the car in a lot or another legal location. If the host instructs you to park the car in an illegal spot, keep proof of this communication in Sync messages. As long as this proof exists, you will not be held responsible for any fines or tolls incurred within 24 hours.
