Booking Pricing

The booking price depends on various factors, including the day of the week, the duration of the booking, and any applicable discounts. The base daily booking cost is only one component of the total cost.

Additionally, the base daily cost is determined individually by each vehicle host, not by Sync.

Booking Price

To determine a booking price, we take the average daily rate for each day as set by the vehicle host, multiply this number by the number of booking days, and apply any available discounts. We display the booking price both as a total amount and as an average price per day.

If you wish to extend your booking, we will calculate a new booking price based on the number of added days, the host’s pricing for those days, and any applicable discounts. The booking price is just one component of the total cost of a booking, which may include a booking fee (charged by Sync), the cost of any protection plan you select, applicable taxes, and other fees or costs that may apply.

Duration

Your booking can start and end at any time you and your host agree on, but the minimum charge we apply is one full day. If your booking ends beyond the 24-hour cycle of days, you will be charged according to the delay. The calculation is as follows:

• Bookings ending up to 30 minutes beyond the 24-hour cycle = No charge
• Bookings ending up to 120 minutes (two hours) beyond the 24-hour cycle = Half-day charge
• Bookings ending more than two hours beyond the 24-hour cycle = Full-day charge

The same calculation applies if you return the vehicle later than the scheduled return time. (See also the Additional Usage Policy).

Discounts

Some Sync hosts offer discounts for bookings made or extended for three consecutive days, one week, two weeks, one month, or two months. Some hosts may send guests who complete a booking a discount code for a future booking with them. Hosts independently decide whether to offer discounts and can set different discounts for different vehicles.

Taxes

A 24% VAT will be applied to each booking and added to the total booking cost (including all additional charges).

Security Deposit

A security deposit will be held for bookings involving high-value vehicles, as well as for guests who choose not to purchase a Sync protection plan when making their booking. A security deposit is charged to guests under the age of 30 who book a Premium category vehicle and to all renters booking a Deluxe vehicle.
