Approval Process for Driving with Sync
When you book a vehicle with Sync for the first time, you’ll need to submit your driver’s license for approval. For any future bookings, this step will no longer be required, as you’ll already be verified.
How the Driver’s License Approval Process Works
Before making your first booking with Sync, you must have already registered with your email and phone number, as described on the Account Creation page. During the initial stage of booking a vehicle, you’ll be asked to upload a photo of your driver’s license through a secure form, along with a selfie to confirm your identity.
This verification is handled by a third-party provider, Veriff, which analyzes both images and either approves or rejects your license. The approval process takes just a few seconds. Once approved, you can proceed to the next step and complete your booking. For all future bookings with Sync, you won’t need to go through this step again, as your license will already be registered as valid.
Important: Your host may still ask you to present your driver’s license when picking up the vehicle. This is to confirm that the person collecting the car is the same one who made the booking.
What to Do If Your License Is Not Approved
If your driver’s license is not approved, you won’t be able to complete your first booking with Sync. In this case, you can contact customer support to check if there’s a technical or other issue that we can help resolve.
