Creating an Account
Once you create a Sync account, you can book a vehicle that best fits your travel plans.
To use Sync, you first need to sign up with your email. The process is quick and simple, as you don’t even need to create or remember a password.
For your first booking, we’ll need to verify your details. Once you find the vehicle you want to rent, you’ll be asked to present your driver’s license and take a selfie so our system can confirm that you are legally allowed to drive in the country. This verification process won’t be required for future bookings with Sync.
Finding a Vehicle
To find a vehicle for rent, select your desired pickup location and enter the start and end dates of your rental. You can filter the results based on vehicle type, including mileage, pickup/drop-off location, and other options. Check the FAQ section for details about vehicle descriptions and any additional guidance or information.
You cannot message a host (the vehicle owner renting it out) before making a booking. However, you may find the answer you need in the help articles or by reaching out to Sync’s customer support.
Making a Booking
Check the Included Mileage
Make sure you review the total number of kilometers you’re allowed to drive during your rental period. We will also display the cost calculation for any extra distance you may need to drive beyond the included mileage.
Check for Any Applicable Discounts
We will display any discounts that apply to your booking, such as early booking or long-term rental discounts that affect the vehicle’s daily rate.
Add Extras, If Available (Optional)
Some listings offer paid Extras that can enhance your booking. These may include bicycles, portable coolers, camping tents, child seats, and more.
Complete Your Booking
Review the full cost breakdown and finalize your booking. You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete. Remember that you can cancel for free within the designated free cancellation period.
Note: You can only book one vehicle at a time. Your booking dates/times cannot overlap with another active booking you’ve made.
